Our business is very closely linked to the environment, and as such we are fully aware of our impact on, and responsibilities to the surrounding countryside.
The products we sell are all natural, and extracted from the earth with care not to unduly disturb or destroy the areas nearby. Many of these materials are essential to the fabric of our daily lives, and help to build the infrastructure around us – from homes and roads, to public and commercial buildings, and even sea defences. With a commitment to quarrying that is as low impact as possible, we also offer a landfill facility that allows the safe and controlled disposal of non-hazardous waste.
We work closely with many agencies to ensure we achieve maximum sustainability in all we do. These agencies include SEPA, Historic Scotland, and Environmental Health. We also work in close consultation with West Dunbartonshire Council.
Our health and safety record is exemplary, and we continue to operate carefully and conscientiously with well-maintained, up to date machinery, the latest techniques in drilling and blasting, and a fully trained and experienced workforce. As a major local employer, we also make a valuable contribution to the local economy in West Dunbartonshire.
